Rippling edges, dark knots and grain that seems to move. This live edge solid wood mantel shelf is shaped from one solid block and brings instant warmth above a fireplace. It also works as a striking display ledge in a hallway, living space or dining room.
The front keeps the tree's natural outline, waves and small irregularities included, while the top is flattened for display. Style it with candles, vases, framed prints or seasonal greenery. Choose a length a little wider than your fireplace opening or surround.
Unlike shelves built from joined boards, this mantel is carved from a single block, giving it a heavy, substantial presence. It arrives complete and ready to mount, with no assembly. A light finish brings out texture. Follow local code for clearance above any open flame, and wipe away dust with a dry cloth.
Grain and tone change from one mantel to the next, so yours will be unique. Each mantel is made to order once you order, in partner artisan workshops based in Vietnam.
Shipping is completely free on all U.S. orders. Every piece is built to order from solid hardwood, crated with reinforced timber framing, and delivered curbside by specialized freight.
Allow about 2-3 weeks (7-10 days rough carving, photo approval, then 7 days finish and pack). Delivery is tracked (3-7 days by tracked freight). Tracking is emailed upon dispatch. Full details on our Shipping Policy.
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. Any order arriving damaged, chipped, or with a workmanship flaw is repaired or replaced free of charge.

Solid hardwood, carved and finished by hand. Grain, knots and colour vary naturally from piece to piece - that is the character of real wood, not a defect. Made to order: we send you photos of the raw carving to approve before finishing; allow about 3-4 weeks door to door.
