One block of wood, grain running unbroken from end to end. Mounted above the firebox, this rustic solid wood floating fireplace mantel shelf lends a living room or family room hearth a warm, finished frame without any visible brackets.
The mantel rests flush against the wall, letting the wood carry the whole look. Its rich tone suits rustic, transitional and modern rooms, and the 8-inch-deep surface is ready for family photos, candles, greenery or holiday garlands.
Because it is cut from a single solid block, there are no glued seams to open up over time. A gentle finish keeps the surface natural and slightly raw, and fine surface checks simply add character. It ships as one finished piece.
Mantels often extend a few inches beyond each side of the firebox or surround, so measure that opening and choose the next size up. Slimmer 5 and 6 inch profiles feel crisp and contemporary; the 7 and 8 inch profiles read as a chunkier, old-style beam.
Grain and tone vary from one block to the next. Each mantel is handcrafted to order by partner artisan workshops based in Vietnam.
Shipping is completely free on all U.S. orders. Every piece is built to order from solid hardwood, crated with reinforced timber framing, and delivered curbside by specialized freight.
Allow about 2-3 weeks (7-10 days rough carving, photo approval, then 7 days finish and pack). Delivery is tracked (3-7 days by tracked freight). Tracking is emailed upon dispatch. Full details on our Shipping Policy.
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. Any order arriving damaged, chipped, or with a workmanship flaw is repaired or replaced free of charge.

Solid hardwood, carved and finished by hand. Grain, knots and colour vary naturally from piece to piece - that is the character of real wood, not a defect. Made to order: we send you photos of the raw carving to approve before finishing; allow about 3-4 weeks door to door.
